The Mission of the Church

The Great Commission starts with stepping out to share the good news of Jesus with those who need to hear it. This doesn't mean you have to leave your country—there are people in your neighborhood and workplace who need to hear the hope of Jesus.

Children are a blessing and hold a special place in God's heart. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these" (Mark 10:14). At Mission Life (Semillas De Vida), we emphasize the importance of children to God.

Our ultimate goal is to make followers of Jesus. As we share the good news, we demonstrate how Jesus has transformed our lives and invite others to discover Him for themselves. Jesus also instructs us to baptize new believers, symbolizing their incorporation into the family of God and publicly displaying their new faith.

Children are important to God because they represent innocence, faith, and the potential for spiritual growth. They remind us to approach God with faith, trust, and an open heart. Each child is seen by God as a unique and valuable individual, full of potential and worthy of love and respect.

While making disciples and baptizing believers is part of every church's mission, Jesus intended for every believer to take on this responsibility. Reflect on someone who helped you grow spiritually, and ask God to guide you in helping and disciplining someone in your life. Allow God to give you the courage to share the hope of Jesus with those around you.

Celebrating Children's Day in Villao

Recently, Semillas De Vida organized a special celebration for the foundation's and the local church's children. This event was an opportunity to teach the children about God's love and their importance in His kingdom. The celebration was filled with joy and laughter, with approximately 30 children attending. Various activities were organized, including games, songs, and Bible storytelling, along with delicious snacks.

Children are of great importance to God and our community. By celebrating and honoring them through events like the recent celebration at our church, we acknowledge their value and their place in God's kingdom. We will continue to strive to teach and guide our children in their spiritual journey.

This video highlights the work we've done so far in 2024. As teachers and part of the Seeds of Life team, we wanted to create a more colorful, cheerful, and inviting space for our children. So, we rolled up our sleeves and began decorating our workspace, painting a mural that represents the seed, God's love, and the tree of life we come from.

Our goal was to make the children feel happy and excited when they returned to their activities. The result was heartwarming, as we saw big smiles on their faces when they saw their vibrant, welcoming classroom—a place where they could both work and have fun. We also resumed our Saturday classes at the church, ensuring that even the little ones get to know Jesus.

Additionally, we were thrilled to purchase a new stove for our kitchen. The teachers are very happy with this new acquisition, as the old stove was quite worn out.
