Areas to Serve

 
  • Mission Life is looking for someone experienced in social media to help us get our message out to the world!

    Help manage the social media strategy across all platforms, schedule content, engage with followers and supporters.

    Develop campaigns for (but not limited to) programs, events, fundraising, etc.

    Create strategy for growing our fan base/community.

  • Work with the Marketing team to produce designs used for printed and digital materials, including press kits, brochures and social media posts. This volunteer will also offer input at creative meetings and collaborate with other team members on the execution of campaigns and projects. A working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator would be ideal for this role.

    Qualifications: Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator Knowledge

  • Experience in content writing for stories and social media content.

    Serving in this position will give you an opportunity to impact people with the stories of change happening in the communities where Mission Life is serving, creating content for fundraising campaigns, Giving Tuesday, and other events.

    Ideally, the volunteer has experience writing persuasive and assertive copy to inspire prospective and current supporters to participate.

  • Work alongside the Marketing team to create engaging videos that will be used for promoting our centers, partners, and products via social media and our blog. This volunteer will have a desire to help us tell inviting and captivating stories that align with the Mission Life brand. A working knowledge and ownership of Final Cut Pro X editing software is needed.

    Qualifications: Final Cut Pro X

  • Serve as a volunteer to help with the planning of events throughout the year and/or on the day of each event!

  • Role Overview

    As a Grant Writing Volunteer at Mission Life, you will play a pivotal role in securing funding to support our various programs and initiatives. This position involves researching grant opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, and ensuring successful grant applications. Your work will help sustain and expand Mission Life’s impact on children and communities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Grant Research: Identify and research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government entities.

    • Proposal Writing: Develop, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals that align with Mission Life’s mission and funding priorities.

    • Application Management: Manage the grant application process, including tracking deadlines, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring timely submissions.

    • Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to gather relevant information and data to support grant proposals.

    • Reporting: Prepare and submit required grant reports to funders, detailing the use of funds and program outcomes.

    • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with grant funders, ensuring ongoing communication and updates on Mission Life’s work.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Passion for Mission Life’s vision and mission.

    • Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail.

    • Strong research and analytical abilities.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Prior experience in grant writing or fundraising is highly desirable.

    • Proficiency in using grant databases and research tools is a plus.

  • As a Sponsorship Engagement Volunteer at Mission Life, you will play a vital role in maintaining and nurturing relationships with our sponsors. Your primary responsibilities will involve communicating with sponsors when their sponsorship ends, following up with sponsors who choose to end their sponsorship, and managing sponsorships canceled due to nonpayment. You will also engage with sponsored children, personalize cover emails, and ensure smooth processes for sponsor-child interactions.

    Sponsor Engagement with Children

    • Monitor unopened messages and videos from sponsors to children, and follow up according to our procedures.

    • Ensure children acknowledge and respond to sponsor communications, coordinating with partners to confirm interactions.

  • Role Overview

    As a Business Development Volunteer at Mission Life, you will play a crucial role in supporting our fundraising programs and initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and organize various aspects of our fundraising efforts, research potential donors and sponsors, and help foster positive relationships that drive our mission forward.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Fundraising Development: Assist in developing and organizing all aspects of Mission Life’s fundraising programs.

    • Donor and Sponsor Research: Research and identify potential donors and sponsors, implementing strategies to build and maintain positive relationships.

    • Business Communications: Establish and maintain friendly business communications with individual and business donors or sponsors.

    • Donation Program Research: Research donation programs and opportunities available through local, state, and federal programs.

    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Create post-event reports to analyze data and determine the marketing effectiveness of fundraising programs.

    • Meeting Coordination: Oversee department and inter-department meetings to plan milestones and requirements of all teams regarding fundraisers.

    • Marketing Material Creation: Collaborate with the advertising department to create print marketing materials related to fundraising.

    • Strategic Planning: Meet with senior management to gauge business needs and brainstorm ideas for upcoming fundraising programs.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Passion for Mission Life’s vision and mission.

    • Strong organizational and research skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.

    • Experience in fundraising, business development, or related fields is a plus.

    • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is preferred.
