But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” -2 Corinthians 12:9a

Webster Dictionary defines sufficient as, “not too much, not too little, the exact amount.”

This simple definition of one word and I’m all but undone. His grace is the exact amount and His grace has been lavishly poured out upon us in the exact amount.

This scripture goes on to tell us, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

There it is.  Our weakness is not a real weakness at all. Our weakness is a cup to capture His exact amount of grace and holy favor. Obviously, we don’t need to have it right or perfect to be recipients of it. The very fact that we are not perfect is exactly what makes us eligible.

So the next time you are faced with a struggle, when you feel as if you failed once again, speak up and remind yourself that HIS grace is sufficient. With a heart of gratitude, we can receive the exact amount of grace needed and keep right on moving on with our God.
