Video Updates of our Child Centers in Colombia

Programs’ General Updates

This month focused on empathy, a quality that, when nurtured from a young age, fosters compassion, understanding, and peaceful conflict resolution.

The theme of human connection—whether near or from afar—reinforced the idea that emotional closeness doesn’t always require physical proximity. Love and support can bridge even the toughest distances, showing that relationships can remain strong regardless of circumstances.

Activities encouraged everyone to reflect on how quickly life and relationships can change, helping the children learn to approach these changes with hope, resilience, and love. They were reminded of the importance of living fully in the present, cherishing what and who we have, and embracing each precious moment.

At the center in Cartago, the youngest children bonded as friends, learning each other's names and favorite things. Laura Bueno led a beautiful activity with music and foam, allowing them to explore rhythm in a joyful way.

For the teens, empathy was explored through the movie Five Feet Apart, which carries a powerful message about love, human connection, and the importance of valuing each moment, especially in the face of life’s challenges.

With the mothers, empowerment sessions were the focus, with teachings on “Empower Yourself,” always rooted in love, and building a foundation of support and friendship.

The video highlights the incredible performances by some of our children in Bogota. Through a new partnership with the Arts ministry, TACO, we’ve had the opportunity over the past two months to train our kids in various art forms such as dance, circus performance, juggling, music, and vocal technique. This initiative is part of our ongoing mission to help each child discover their unique talents and develop valuable skills. We thank the Lord for blessing our little ones with such remarkable abilities, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow creatively and confidently.

At the center in Villavicencio, we are dedicated to instilling values from God's perspective, guiding our children to see life through the lens of His truth. Recently, we celebrated the Day of the Bible, honoring God's Word as the foundation of truth in their lives, a message that resonates deeply in everything we teach. In place of Halloween, we celebrated El Día del Niño (Children's Day), focusing on the joy and innocence of childhood in a way that stands apart from popular culture. By differentiating from a worldview, we aim to provide them with a strong, faith-centered foundation, helping them grow with God’s guidance and values.

At the Genova center, children are thriving as they explore music and art with their new teacher, who brings fresh energy and creativity to each lesson. The kids eagerly engage with instruments, songs, and artistic projects, expressing themselves in new ways that deepen their love for learning. This vibrant experience is also extending to their families, as parents are invited to participate in activities designed to connect them more closely to their children's growth. Through sessions that focus on child development and positive behavior, parents are gaining valuable insights, strengthening the bond with their children, and becoming active partners in this journey of learning and discovery.

Help us bring Christmas joy to the children who do not have sponsors!
