Local High School Students to Help Bring Soccer School to Colombia Center

Students at Concord Christian Academy will have a hand in helping to sponsor children at our center in Bogota, Colombia and a new soccer school program!

We’re kicking off the second semester of our Service Learning Project Pilot at the New Hampshire school. This semester, the freshmen and junior classes are being introduced to our children.

Through the project, students learn about what life is like for children in a second world country. It gives students a different perspective as they connect with our children using technology and relate to their experiences. The Service Learning project also has a fundraising component which gives students the opportunity to improve the lives of the children they meet.

Through a Cafecito coffee fundraiser, students will help raise money for the children at our centers and a new soccer school! Mission Life Cafecito is a single origin quality Colombian coffee grown on a coffee farm in Genova, where we also have a child center.

We began our Service Learning pilot with Concord Christian Academy in September with the sophomore and senior classes. As the program continues to grow, the project will include a mission trip to our center which will give students and our children an opportunity to meet in person.

Last semester, students sold 60 bags of Cafecito!
