Family Fun Day Lives Up to its Name!

Written by: Sarah O’Neill

On June 12th, Mission Life partnered with One Church for Family Fun Day to share the love of God through community. The eventful day began with a lively Sunday service, which held the record for the second largest service attendance this year with over 375 people!

After worship, the crowd converged to the hill at the Manchester outpost to enjoy the bouncy house, cornhole, big wheel races, baseball, hot dogs, ice cream, and more! The day of Family Fun truly lived up to its name, with numerous attractions to keep the little ones happy and entertained. The “big kids”, (a.k.a. the rest of us) also joined in for some big wheel racing, with an honorable mention going to Manchester Outpost Coordinator, Chris Bryan, for the biggest wipeout!

After enjoying all of the activities on this hot summer day, most families flocked to the Make-Your-Own Sundae Bar to cool off and get a tasty, refreshing treat. This stand was so popular, Mission Life made a quick run to the store to get even MORE ice cream!

Outpost pastor, Mike Goff says, “This was much more than I ever anticipated. I’m thrilled at the turnout. It was a great day!”

Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers who helped to make this happen and to all of you for coming to share fellowship! Join the fun by becoming a Mission Life volunteer.
