From all of us at Mission Life, thank you for being part of this incredible journey. We wish you and your loved ones a blessed and joyful Christmas season. Let us continue to share God’s love and hope with the world as we step into the new year.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the incredible Mission Life family and the profound impact of intentional relationships. This month, children shared their dreams and stories with sponsors through heartfelt letters, highlighting the deep connections that lie at the core of our mission. While technology and video messaging are Mission Life’s cornerstones, letter writing remains a treasured way to foster understanding, encouragement, and love.
This month focused on empathy, a vital quality that, when nurtured from a young age, fosters compassion, understanding, and peaceful conflict resolution. The theme of human connection—whether near or far—highlighted that emotional closeness doesn’t always require physical proximity; love and support can bridge even the toughest distances, keeping relationships strong despite circumstances.
We recently collaborated with a New Hampshire church to help launch a missions ministry supporting a church in Kenya. This partnership united both congregations in spreading the Gospel and uplifting communities. It was inspiring to see how Mission Life's resources empowered other ministries to grow and thrive globally. One impactful example of this ministry is in Nairobi, where young women organized an outreach in the slums. Their efforts reached 100 girls needing hygiene items and spiritual guidance, leading 30 young women to give their lives to Jesus.
I am thrilled to share a dream realized: the opening of our new Child Development Center in Cartago, my hometown in Colombia! The new program will support fifty children from challenging backgrounds, offering them love, encouragement, and opportunities. Sponsorship goes beyond financial assistance; it instills hope and shows these children that someone cares deeply about their future.
As we approach the conclusion of 2023, let's reflect on the year's accomplishments and carry the spirit of compassion, generosity, and unity into the upcoming year. Together, we have made a significant impact on the lives of those we serve, and as we celebrate the season of hope during Christmas, let it serve as a reminder of our collective power to bring positive change to the world.
After an extended period of anticipation, we have finally received God's divine guidance, illuminating the path ahead for our ministry.
I am excited to share some wonderful updates from the journey in Cartago, Colombia. It's a testament to God's faithfulness and how He guides us through the processes of life. The groundwork for our new child center in Cartago is underway. The community of "Nueva Colombia, in Cartago, has welcomed us with open arms, and our team is working diligently to bring the vision of this center to life.
